Easter Egger Bantam Eggs

This photo is 3 blue Easter Egger eggs and 1 white egg from another breed. Only eggs from Easter Egger hens are sent to you.

These eggs are a lot of fun for kids. Bantam means a miniature chicken (smaller than standard-size chickens).

Bantam Hen Hatches Easter Egger Chicks

"I came out this morning to check on my broody chocolate bantam and to get an update on egg progress. I'm hearing chirping coming from up under the hen!" -Macy, Forsyth, Georgia

The second 2 photos are the chicks at 2 weeks old.

Easter Eggers

This photo includes the green and light blue Easter Egger eggs. The white and brown eggs are from other breeds. You receive the blue and green eggs.

"I raised chickens 20 years & in the last years adopted some Bantams, who I fell in love with. Am so excited to find your site & am looking for the blue and green eggs to share. I will happily send you pictures of my chicken house and home on 4 acres." -Nancy, Hughesville, Pennsylvania

Bantam (Banty) Eggs Are Smaller

Bantam eggs are smaller than the eggs of standard-size chickens. Easter Egger hens are good egg layers. Each hen lays the same color egg each time (ie., a blue layer always lays a blue egg).

"Our chicks hatched, and we have been having so much fun! 13 out of 18 chicks hatched. What a fun time we've been having. Thanks for this experience! We love these little guys." Erin, Newark, Delaware

3-Day-Old Chick

In this photo the brown chick is an Easter Egger. The other chicks are Splash. Easter Eggers are very friendly and sociable.
Easter Egger Chicks

The above photo and this photo are 4-day-old babies.

Broody Silkie Hen Hatches Easter Egger Chicks

Sparkie, a broody Silkie hen, hatched 8 Easter Egger eggs from Nantahala Farm and Garden. This YouTube video shows Silkie looking for her 1-2 week old chicks: Sparkie's World. The 3 minute, 47 second video is from Clare. This hen definitely knows where to find her chicks. It's fun to watch.

1 Week Old Easter Eggers

This photo and the 2 above it are 7-day-old chicks.

This is an 11-day-old chick.

Easter Egger Hen

In this photo you can see the white 'beard' on the hen. All Easter Eggers have these fun beards.

Adult bantam Easter Egger hens weigh 26 ounces (1.625 pounds). Adult bantam Easter Egger roosters weigh 30 ounces (1.875 pounds). Standard size Easter Eggers weigh 4-6 pounds.

Broody Bantam Hens

This photo is a closeup of the above hen.

Bantam Easter Egger hens are broody. Hens do an excellent job of hatching eggs and taking care of their chicks. Every chick looks different so it is easy to tell them apart.

Friendly Birds

Easter Egger hens are friendly and good egg layers. Banties make great pets.

In this photo is another of my Easter Egger hens. All Easter Eggers have pea combs (red crest above beak). They have clean legs (no feathers on their legs).

Great Backyard Chicken

Easter Egger poultry are hardy and robust. They are healthy and do well in both hot and cold climates. A great chicken for the backyard farmer.

Closeup of Above Female

In this photo you can easily see the beautiful beard and muff around her neck.

"The Easter Egger eggs we previously got from you turned out some very pretty birds! We are awaiting the first egg from them. Can not wait!" -Gregory and Clare, Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Easter Egger Ear Muffs

In this photo notice the fluffs of feathers at the ears. All Easter Eggers have this great characteristic.

Easter Egger Adult Rooster

In this photo is one of my Easter Egger males.

Closeup of Easter Egger Rooster

In this photo is a nice look at the male's feathers and comb.

Easter Egger Rooster

In this photo is the handsome head and back feathers of my rooster.

Broody Hen with Her Chicks

These 4 photos are Heather's broody hen with chicks that she hatched. Very sweet.

"We set all 12 eggs with two hens, I'm lucky my mom had a broody hen. I only candled one Easter Egger egg because they are so hard to see in the pretty green shells :). My mom candled a few and they are growing as well."

"She lost one to a chicken fussing with my broody hen, an Easter Egger egg got broken. It was growing so that was a bummer but my broody hen is now blocked off from the rest."

"My broody hen got moved to the garage yesterday but she has stayed on the eggs for 24 hours after the move so I think she will stick it out still. We should see babies next Wednesday!!!"

"Chicks are starting to appear, my mom has seen one under her broody mama hen. So we had four hatch from my six eggs under my broody, and my mom had three of her five hatch (she started with six but another chicken broke one which was fertile and growing) so really we should have had the 8 out of 12 which considering how far they shipped is really amazing!!! I couldn't believe it!!"

"I have a brown looking Silkie, a black Silkie, a white Easter Egger and a black Easter Egger chick. So tiny and so cute!! Mom had a splash Silkie and two black Easter Egger chicks :)"

"I am so pleased with our babies :)!!! Thank you so much. This was my first experience with hatching eggs, and it could not have gone better :)."
-Heather, Greeley, Colorado
